Week 5 - Lost and Found

The Week Ahead

 This week, we will look at friends: who our friends are and what makes a good friend. Our topic book is Lost and Found.

In phonics we will be learning the phonemes m and d. This will complete the first set of sounds. Please practise daily with your child all the taught sounds. We'll be sending out the first set of worded books this week to those who know all the sounds. 

Our Drawing Club book is Dear Zoo. The children will be introduced to the key vocab for this week's book, and we will have lots of discussion about what happens. 

We will continue with pen disco, working on prewriting shapes.

This week in maths, the children will explore how numbers can be composed of 1s, and from this, begin to investigate the composition of 3 and 4, 

In Religious Education, we will learn that God's gift of creation is a gift of love and how we can be a steward of God's love.
